Where specialist coatings are needed
Ordinary emulsion struggles where walls are scrubbed every day, where graffiti or carbon marking keeps coming back, or where steelwork needs extra fire protection. Clinical, education and food preparation areas call for hygienic, washable systems. Busy commercial and industrial floors and walls need finishes that resist abrasion and chemicals. Structural steel may need an intumescent coating.

Preparation decides the result
A specialist coating is only as good as the surface beneath it. Before any system goes on, the substrate is cleaned, degreased, repaired and keyed, with specialist primers and sealers where the surface needs them. On structural steel that can mean shot-blast preparation and a zinc-rich primer. Cutting these steps short is the usual reason a coating peels or fails early.
Choosing a system
The right system depends on what the surface is made of, how the area is used and how it is cleaned. At a free site visit we look at the substrate and talk through traffic, cleaning routines and any fire or hygiene requirements, then recommend a system. It is applied to manufacturer specification by our employed team, with RAMS supplied before work begins.
Marina and boatyard buildings
Marina offices, workshops, chandlery and quayside cladding face salt spray, tidal exposure and heavy trade traffic, so standard exterior paint rarely lasts. We coat the buildings and steelwork, not boats.
