Reading the programme properly
A construction programme names decorating as a bar with a start and finish date, but the real information is in the predecessor and successor activities either side of it. We read those links before committing to a date, because a decorating bar that starts the day plastering finishes rarely reflects a realistic drying period.
- Predecessor activities checked for realistic float
- Drying and curing time built in, not assumed as zero
- Successor trades confirmed so our finish isn't immediately disturbed
