The stallriser takes the worst of it
Low-level panelling below the window catches splashback, dog fouling, trolley knocks and the general wear of a busy quayside pavement, on top of the salt exposure the rest of the shopfront shares. It usually needs a tougher finish and a shorter repaint interval than the fascia above it.
- Stallriser specified with a harder, more washable finish than the fascia
- Glazing bar putty and seals checked before repainting over them
- Signage lettering repainted or re-gilded on its own schedule if it fades faster than the background
