Deciding which trade goes first

Painting the fascia or feature wall before signage is fitted usually gives the cleanest result, since paint can run continuously across the surface without masking around a fitted sign, and any fixing holes for the sign can then be drilled cleanly through a finished, fully cured coating. Fitting signage first only makes sense where the sign itself needs to be protected from paint splash and can't easily be masked.

Sharing fixing positions and cable routes

Illuminated signage often needs a cable route chased or surface-run to a power point, and that route needs to be agreed with the decorator before the wall is finished so the containment can be either concealed under the coating or masked cleanly rather than cut into afterwards.

Touch-in after signage fitting

Even with good coordination, a short touch-in visit after signage goes up is normal, covering any fixing marks, scuffs from lifting equipment, or areas the sign installer's template obscured during the original painting. Pricing this as a planned second visit, not an emergency callback, keeps it straightforward.
